How Logan & I Started Dating Part 2
OUR LOVE STORY: March 2, 2022
Picking up where we left off...Logan texted me "You have a min to chat?" I responded an hour later with "Yep" (I knew he was at work and unable to call -- I guess I was just delaying the inevitable haha). He finally called me at 9:20 that night. The conversation went something like this:
L - "So.....I can't come to Lynchburg tonight."
T - "Yeah, I figured."
We talked for, like, 10 minutes, as he went on to say that he just wasn't in a place where he could be in a relationship. I thanked him for his honesty, but my heart was broken. I had bought brownie mix at the store earlier that day, so I went ahead and ate half of the brownie batter by myself that night. Such a Sad Tay.
I couldn't understand why he didn't want to continue what we had going. We were so compatible, we had so much fun together -- I didn't get it.
I had just been promoted from the morning editor at WSET to a reporter position. I remember my first day on air (about a month and a half since I heard from Logan), he texted me that he saw me on the TV in his newsroom, and he hoped I was doing well. Then, a few weeks later, he was running a half marathon, so I texted him the night before to wish him good luck. He thanked me, and then sent me a picture of him at the finish line the next day. The day after that, thinking things miiiiiiight be looking up for us, I told him I was going to be in Roanoke getting Easter Krispy Kreme doughnuts that day and asked if he wanted to join. Hours later, he said he was watching golf and playing darts and totally turned me down. Ouch.
**Side note -- I'm currently reading these old messages (yes, I still have them), and I can't believe we ended up together. I just wish I could tell 2019 Taylor that it was all going to work out :P
We're going to time travel to late August 2019. Over the past four months, we hadn't spoken. I was talking to another guy, I was busy as a reporter, and Logan was...doing whatever Logan was doing. I went to the movies to see "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" and tweeted about how much I didn't like it. Out of the blue, Logan texted me about the movie, and then the line of communication was back wide open. We texted every single day for a few weeks, until he invited me up to Roanoke to hang out the first week of September. I was so happy! It was our time! We were going to live happily ever after!
We picked up right where we left off and had such a fun time. We just get along so easily, and it felt so natural. Well, our time together ended, and I headed an hour back home to Lynchburg. I was expecting a "Hope you got home safe" or "Thanks for coming up" text. But it never came. No messages came. For hours. For days. For weeks. Logan had completely ghosted me!
Again, I was so confused! What in the world had happened? I couldn't believe I had been hurt again.
It was now the middle of October, and I had booked a solo trip to New York City. I was going to be gone for 3 days, 2 nights. It was my first night there. I was seeing "Waitress" on Broadway, and it was intermission. My phone buzzed, and I had a text from Logan Sherrill.
TO BE CONTINUED (Conclusion is next, I promise!)
